Constructing The Website

Now that I have almost my film ready, I have started building the structure of my website. It is fundamentally a one pager website that consists of several slides. One of my objectives in the website is to keep it minimal while keeping it attractive and functional.

Therefore, the website contains 4 main slides/pages, a welcoming page, an introduction page, a film page and a finish page with a loader slide in between them. The below chart describes the website's structure:

Loader slide

The loader slides acts as a distractor and a warming page that lets the website prepare and load all different scripts and media before until its ready for the user. It has a subtle animation in it that keep the users a bit occupied while waiting.

Welcome page

This page briefly tells the user what this website is about, and it prompts them to enter important details which are name and city.

Introduction page

Introduces the film idea to the user before they start watching.

Film page

This is where the core of the project is. Here, it shows the film with all the interactions and customisation in it.

End page

It shows after the finish have ended or when paused. The user has the option to replay the film, or restart and enter a different city and name.
