Short Story - Ayo

Ayo is a charming and timid person. ْUnlike most other people in his forest, his flower is not fully grown, making him feel a bit imperfect and very self conscious. 

One day, Ayo walks happily on a path whistling to the music with joy, enjoying the beautiful walk. A person passes him by. Out of a sudden, Ayo changes his behaviour. He stops whistling, and freezes in his spot with full awareness that there is a flawless person noticing him. For him, It feels like as if he was put in a spot light and everyone else is gazing at him with criticising looks. The person is now far gone. Ayo is relieved and goes back to his natural self, whistling and enjoying the walk. Few moments later, another person runs by him, and Ayo freezes again with the spotlight all on him until the moment the person is totally far away. Ayo keeps doing this every time someone passes by him.

Time passes by, Ayo keeps walking until he comes across a couple of people. As expected, Ayo automatically changes his behaviour. But what different this time is that these people are actually just standing there chatting.  Ayo holds his freeze mode for as long as he can. The couple is standing there for too long. Ayo decides to start walking slowly and anxiously with his head facing down. He keeps walking straight without looking ahead until he ( hits a tree / trip up over a rock). Ayo gets really dizzy without being aware of the people. But then, he realises that there are people . At this moment, Ayo is very fearful and a strong spotlight is all on him. In his mind, all theses people are now laughing at him for being stupid. But then he realises that they all are occupied with their own business. Ayo is surprised, and confused. Ayo takes a deep breath and builds some confidence in himself, and then he starts expressing himself with whistling.

Ayo now walks on the path whistling to the music. One person passes by Ayo, and Ayo just doesn’t care. Ayo walks out of the screen, and then there shows up a person who has no flower at all, and is more frightened by people.The end
